The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Memento mori made fashionable. The Skull Kimono fighters remember what's at stake and wear the reminder so they never forget.
勇気 — courage. Not the absence of fear but the choice to continue despite it. Yuuki makes that choice fresh every morning and considers it obvious.

Named for sensation. The Splitting Axe Ache fighters' hair is named for how their opponents feel after they're done.
The poisonous pufferfish as a weapon. The Frightened Fugu fighters chose something lethal that looks absurd — and find that this is the most accurate description of themselves.
